IAEA: No signs that Israeli and US attacks have damaged Iran's nuclear

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has no indication that the Israeli and US strikes on Iran have hit any nuclear facilities, its director Rafael Grossi told the agency's Board of Governors, adding that he has not yet been able to contact Iran's nuclear authorities.

"We have no indication that any of the nuclear facilities have been damaged or attacked. Efforts to contact Iranian nuclear regulatory authorities are ongoing, but so far there has been no response ," he said in a statement to the 35-nation board.

Grossi called for maximum restraint in all military operations, given the nuclear sites in Iran and other countries in the region, including Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, earlier today, Iran's ambassador to the UN nuclear watchdog, Reza Najafi, said that the Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz was hit during US-Israeli attacks against Iran.

"Yesterday they attacked Iran's peaceful and protected nuclear facilities again," Reza Najafi told reporters at a meeting of the 35-nation board of governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency. /CNA
