Unbelievable in Thessaloniki/ Patient sneaks out of hospital to commit theft

An unusual incident has occurred in Greece, after a patient admitted to the Hippocrates Hospital in Thessaloniki secretly left the hospital, while suffering from pneumonia, to commit theft.

Police officers from the Thessaloniki Rapid Action Unit were surprised on Tuesday when they arrested a thief who had left a hospital to commit a robbery, still holding an intravenous catheter in his hand.

According to information, the perpetrator, a 27-year-old man, decided to secretly leave the hospital ward and take to the streets.

The incident highlights the perpetrator's obsession with criminal activity, as neither his serious health condition nor the need for medical care were able to prevent him from committing theft. /CNA
