Farmers' protests escalate in Greece

Farmers' protests in Greece escalated this afternoon, as they disrupted electricity supply in the Thessaloniki area, on the national highway, near the Malgara toll booth. The blockade took place at around 18:30, affecting the normal functioning of traffic and infrastructure in the area.

In parallel, farmers from the Delta municipality had interrupted the supply of electricity to Athens since yesterday, continuing their protests to meet the demands of the agricultural sector.

According to representatives of the protest coordination committee, the power outage in Thessaloniki is expected to last until 8:30 PM, while farmers warn that their actions will continue if the government does not provide answers to the problems raised.
