Weather volatility moving to extremes is clearly a consequence of global warming and climate change.

EU High Representative Josep Borrell also reacted to this, saying that climate change is an undeniable reality and a threat to global security.

Through a post on social networks, Borrel emphasizes that the EU remains committed to supporting those affected, from areas hit by extreme weather.

"In particular, Josep Borrell points out: "This summer, natural disasters are wreaking havoc around the world, putting lives at risk and destroying homes and livelihoods. Across the Mediterranean, fires are wreaking havoc. Slovenia and Georgia have been severely affected by floods and landslides. Climate change is an undeniable reality and a threat to global security. The EU remains committed to supporting those affected, from the areas destroyed by the fire in Greece to the victims of the typhoons in the Philippines" - declares Borrel./CNA.al
