Two strategic agreements for Albanian banks signed with Germany

An important development has been marked in the Albanian financial sector, following the signing of two strategic agreements by the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation at the premises of the German Embassy in Tirana.

The agreements include a project partnership with Sparkasse Märkisches Sauerland Hemer-Menden as well as a cooperation agreement with the Albanian Banking Association. The main purpose of these agreements is to support Albanian banks in aligning with European Union regulatory standards and central bank supervisory requirements.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives of diplomacy and the financial sector, including Ambassador Karl Bergner, as well as heads of relevant institutions.

This cooperation is carried out within the framework of the regional project "Just Transition: Sustainable Transformation of the Financial Sector in Albania", which aims to strengthen a more inclusive and sustainable financial system in the country. /CNA
