Security cameras, towards increasing prices/ Manufacturers warn of an increase

The wave of rising fuel prices and transportation tariffs, following the start of attacks in the Middle East, is expected to affect the technology sector in international supplies.

One of the local companies trading in alarm systems and security cameras has announced that it is expected to increase prices in the local market, due to notifications received from manufacturers in foreign markets for price increases of up to 30%.

The announcement by the operator "SSD-Dahua Distribution Albania" states that "The manufacturers announce that the prices of these products will increase between 10% - 30%, effective from April 1, 2026."

The company argues that the increase in prices in the domestic market will be affected by the increase in the cost of supplies in foreign markets, as well as by the high demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.

According to the company, the global increase in prices of electronic components, especially RAM memory, has also been influenced by the industry's transition from DDR4 to DDR5.

"The products expected to be most affected by this increase are security and monitoring devices, such as: IPC, NVR, XVR, PTZ and whiteboard monitors, among others," the announcement states.

Meanwhile, the company emphasizes that it is working closely with manufacturers to minimize the impact of price increases on the domestic market.

One of the first negative impacts of the outbreak of the conflict in the Middle East was the increase in fuel prices on international stock exchanges, which is expected to be reflected in the cost of transportation and supplies for various sectors of the economy.

"We inform you that: due to the global increase in prices of electronic components, especially RAM memory, influenced by the industry's transition from DDR4 to DDR5 and the very high demand from Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, a price increase is expected for some security products, such as surveillance cameras and alarm systems.

The products that are most included are:

IPC, NVR, XVR, PTZ, Whiteboard Monitors, etc…

Manufacturers announce that the prices of these products will increase between 10% - 30%, effective April 1, 2026.
