How Mero Baze lies about Veliaj's lawyer

The arrested mayor of Tirana, who is facing 13 charges filed in a voluminous 60,000-page file sent to court, Erion Veliaj, filed a request for the replacement of the security measure.

This request was reviewed the day before in a court session by Judge Etleva Deda, who decided to dismiss Veliaj's request.

After the request was rejected, the journalist of Veliaj's family, his media soldier, who is directed from the depths of the Durrës prison, has published an article in his newspaper "Tema" telling us that Veliaj appeared without a chosen lawyer, defending himself personally.

"In today's hearing on the security measure, Erion Veliaj appeared without a chosen lawyer, defending himself personally in the request for the replacement of the 'prison arrest' measure."

This, in fact, is another lie from the media about the journalist Veliaj family. Erion Veliaj was defended by lawyer Sokrat Gjermeni in the hearing for the replacement of the security measure.

Sokrat Gjermeni is the son of Artan Gjermeni, Veliaj's defense attorney, and therefore of his law firm. Thus, as a result, Veliaj was not represented without a lawyer primarily, but by a lawyer who comes from the same law firm that defends him, emphasizing that Sokrat Gjermeni represented Veliaj only in the case of the replacement of the security measure.

As always, Veliaj expresses himself differently and acts differently, but always with tactics and strategies, although they are not working, as with yesterday's decision he will remain in prison.

His scripts, as in other times, are also supported by his media, which are paid by him and appear in reports showing the lobbying of Veliaj and his brother, Arbër Veliaj, of 220 thousand dollars, like Mero Baze, who continues to attack justice on Veliaj's behalf, in this case the decision of Judge Etleva Deda.

Erion Veliaj, the man who is seeking the replacement of the security measure, is the same one who continues to use his tactics as a chronic fraudster to postpone hearings at the Criminal Court of Kosovo, where the file with 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses has been sent for trial.

Why does Erion Veliaj request the replacement of the security measure?

In fact, for Veliaj, his circumstances or legal situation have not changed. There are no new facts or evidence to release him from prison. He has been left in prison by all levels of courts because he tampered with evidence while in office as mayor.

Today we are in a situation where out of 14 sessions in the GJKKO, the 15th is taking place today. Erion Veliaj continues to use machinations and technicalities to postpone the judicial processes, as he is afraid to face the facts and evidence presented by the prosecutors, while from Durrës prison he continues to create scenarios by attacking, accusing and slandering prosecutors and judges, scenarios that CNA has revealed to him, both from wiretaps and other documents./ CNA
