A young woman from Elbasan, who lives and works as a head nurse in Germany, says that she has a relative in the State Asylum in Elbasan, as the Balashe Center is otherwise known. She says her 77-year-old relative, Sadik Biba, is suffering from open wounds that go to the bone due to dirt, lack of movement and medical care.

The elderly man was cured months ago in Elbasan and Tirana, but in September he was sent back to the Asylum, without fully recovering. Now Sadik's body has started to rot and the asylum workers say they have nothing to do with him. The elderly man does not have a diagnosis, but according to the whistleblower, his wounds were caused by the dirt, immobility and lack of care in the Asylum.

"Hello, I am a resident of the city of Elbasan. I have been working in Germany for several years, where I currently work as a head nurse. I have a relative in the Asylum for the Elderly in the city of Elbasan. He has been living there for four years because he has no family to take care of him, he is alone. Every time I go back and forth from Germany to Albania, I try to be interested in going there and meet the main needs. The last time I was there was in September, there was a very big medical problem, a very serious health infection. Wounds that are caused when you sit still, from hygiene, humidity or not washing or not taking care of the patient as a whole cause them to go so deep, to the bone. I am traumatized, there are in several places, on my back, on both sides of my legs where one is down to the bone. In inhumane conditions, he was admitted to the Elbasan Emergency, I had to go there myself for 3-4 days until he was given direction, where he will go and who will take care of him. He was finally taken over at the Infectious Disease Hospital of Tirana, where he was treated for several weeks, 3-4 weeks. I was in contact with the doctors about how the procedure was, the continuation until finally they said that he would return to Elbasan, to the Elbasan hospital and then again to the Asylum", said the whistleblower on the microphone of the show "Stop".

"Stop" went to the asylum, but the employees claim that they asked for help at the Elbasan hospital, help that has been neglected for many reasons and due to the lack of coordination of the health links in this city.
