Floresha Koçi says that she has been married to Bledar Koçi for 25 years and has been raped by him for years. But finally, after she discovered her husband's infidelity, the violence against her increased. Floresha also has videos of the violence, after seeing her husband in the car with a girl.

"I am Floresha Koçi, 45 years old, I have been married to Bledar Koçi for 25 years. I have two children from this marriage, a daughter and a son aged 23 and 13. During these years, as a couple, we have had arguments, as always, but during these recent times, from February 2024, they have become even more aggravated due to a betrayal by my husband with a 23-year-old girl", he tells the microphone of the show "Stop" Floresha Koçi.

Journalist: So the main reason for the disagreements was treason.

Floresha Koçi: Yes!

Journalist: When you found out about this fact, how did you expect it?

Floresha Koçi: At first I did not receive it well, like any woman, I wanted my family not to be destroyed by this betrayal.

Journalist: How did things go further in your family?

Floresha Koçi: Too bad, he was very violent with me.

Journalist: When you say violent, was it physical or psychological violence?

Floresha Koçi: Both physical and psychological, you can't imagine what violence my husband has caused me.

Journalist: Do you have facts about this?

Floresha Koçi: On the same night that I caught him with his girlfriend, she was in the car, sitting in the car, while he raped me. He shoots me in the face, grabs my arms. The next day I went to the police with signs of violence.

Journalist: When you filed the complaint at the Elbasan police station, what measures did the latter take?

Floresha Koçi: They interrogated him and kept him inside for 2 hours, then he was released. I know that my husband has given 2 thousand Euros that he came out of the arrest after 2 hours.

In another case of violence, Bledari's husband enters the business they had together. When he comes, he argues and hits him 3 times on the head, chasing him to the counter, breaking his cell phone and throwing hard objects. Even this moment, captured by security cameras, happens in broad daylight and in front of people.

Floresha Koçi: I will tell you another case that happened after a few months. We own the property and I manage the business. There comes my husband yelling and screaming. I was sitting at the table where I always sit, I was drinking a coffee, he comes and starts cursing, insulting and chasing me. I get up and tell him "what are you doing", he doesn't stop and just swears and insults in the eyes of the customers I had nearby.

The police did not take any action. The last episode happened in the Court of Elbasan. Floresha said that her mother had passed away 3 days ago and she would receive a protection order from the Court. The husband had a conflict with her brothers and the police of Elbasan took him and the four brothers inside, leaving the aggressor free again.

Floresha Koçi: I was sitting drinking coffee and he comes and abuses me physically and psychologically, hits me on the head.

Journalist: What did you do in those moments?

Floresha Koçi: I got up. I wanted to defend myself and I went into the counter so that you wouldn't come closer and abuse me again. He approaches, grabs the ashtrays and shoots me. I moved away to defend myself, he grabs my phone again, grabs something else I had there and shoots me.

Reporter: And this is monitored by subject cameras?

Floresha Koçi: Yes.

Journalist: Then you made the camera that you have available to the Elbasan Police and what happened?

Floresha Koçi: Nothing. In June 2024, after many complaints I had made about the violence my husband was inflicting on me, the court gave me an immediate order for 10 days. Within these 10 days, the husband breaks the protection order and finds himself inside the apartment. My husband was ordered not to come within 500 meters of the apartment and business where I work, while I find him sleeping in the apartment. I denounce it.

Journalist: What measures did the Elbasan police station take?

Floresha Koçi: Nothing!

Journalist: How many reports have you made to the Elbasan Police Station?

Floresha Koçi: Over 8 or 10 reports.

Journalist: What happened to those reports?

Floresha Koçi: Nothing!

During the arrest, the older brother has a heart attack. Currently, Floresha and her sick brother are under house arrest, while Bledari is free again.

Floresha Koçi: The last episode happened in July, where unfortunately three days ago I had lost my mother. Three days ago I had my third birthday, we all gathered as a family, including my brothers, we discussed our problems. I had never informed them about the violence my husband was inflicting on me. At lunch I had a trial for a protection order, my brothers come, enter the court where unfortunately they didn't give me a protection order and postpone the hearing. I say to Judge Aurora Alimadhi "please don't postpone my hearings anymore because I don't know what will happen outside with this man". After he got out, he notified the police and then provoked my brothers. A momentary rise occurs.

Reporter: You all end up in the police, how long did you stay?

Floresha Koçi: For 6 hours. I was raped there inside the police station. The police officer, Griselda Diçani and police officer Xhemal Hoxhaj, because the moment they got off the van and they took my brothers, they dragged them out of the van to put them in the cell. I felt very bad there. My situation with my brother, especially the 65-year-old elder, he suffered a heart attack, where the Elbasan Police did not take measures. From the whole situation I saw with my brothers, I became a beast. After that night they took me to Tirana and kept me in custody for 5 days, after 5 days I appeared in court and the judge gave me house arrest.

Journalist: For how long?

Floresha Koçi: They haven't appointed it yet, to do the investigations, it's in the process.

Journalist: How long have you been under house arrest?

Floresha Koçi: For 4 months. I demand justice, I, the abused for so many years, am under house arrest and the abuser is free.

Floresha Koçi is not the only victim of violence by her husband. The two boys also suffered from the situation of violence, especially the 13-year-old boy, who also attempted suicide.

Journalist: How have the children experienced this family situation?

Floresha Koçi: Very bad, especially the 13-year-old boy who was always present in the violence that my husband used against me. I have two cases that I will never forget, the boy committed suicide. That night, because of the violence he used on me, he came between us, he wanted to separate us, while my husband continued the violence. He screamed and said he couldn't take it anymore and wanted to jump from the fourth floor of the apartment. I caught him there, I squeezed him hard. He screamed, cried and said "I can't take it anymore". The other case, when my husband was physically and psychologically abusing me, he was there and the boy, crying, went out into the street and was very bad psychologically. I caught him between the four roads.

The boy says that he does not want to meet his father and is afraid of him.

Boy: Peaceful after cutting off contact with dad.

Journalist: How have you been in this family situation?

Boy: When I had contact with my father I was very stressed, traumatized by all the things that happened.

Journalist: How do you go to school? Do you have a psychologist at school or not? Do you communicate with him?

Boy: They know it too. They don't let me leave school, the driver comes to pick me up there because I'm afraid my dad won't pick me up.

Erion Muça: No kind of doctor, no kind of medication. I told them I was sick, short of breath and had chest pains, they ignored it. At 12:00 at night I was sent to Tirana to "Mine Peza" in detention, there the prison did not accept me because they saw that I was sick. They took me and took me to the Elbasan hospital. He visited me and they took me back to Tirana, at 3:00 in the morning I went to the Tirana hospital and they visited me and admitted me directly. Then they operated on me. Now I am under report and under house arrest. It is not the first time that this man has done this to us, he came at 1 o'clock in the night, entered the house violently and was shouting.
