Prime Minister Edi Rama , yesterday in a speech given to mayors, admitted the failure of the waste treatment strategy, as 24 million euros were invested in Elbasan and there is an incinerator that does not work and the waste is burned. ( READ HERE)

In Fier there is also an incinerator, which has not been completed, which cost around 35-36 million euros, and in Tirana more than 130 million euros have been paid from the state budget, but also from citizens, and the fact is that the incinerator does not exist, we still have a landfill.

Meanwhile, in Vlora, investments were made for a new landfill, and the waste from the old landfill is burned.

Many cities are on the verge of disaster due to the waste issue and a situation that has been unresolved for decades.

The Prime Minister admitted the failure and said:

"Based on the lessons learned from what happened with waste in three municipalities, where beyond all the benefits, as there are problems associated with all sorts of reasons, we need a National Corporation to deal with the entire waste treatment system."

Now the simple question is: Who can run the corporation?

Our answer is that the Incinerator Corporation could be headed by the same man who destroyed the investigations and allowed hundreds of millions of euros of damage to the state budget up to this moment. This name is Dritan Prençi, the SPAK prosecutor.

It may be laughable for some, but yes. No one can be more dignified to run an Incinerator Corporation that does not work, that has not been completed or does not exist, than the man who has investigated them or pretended to have investigated them and closed the files, holding former minister Lefter Koka as the biggest bandit and the main person responsible.

Without seeing the responsibility for the mayor of Elbasan, without seeing the responsibility for the mayor of Fier, without seeing the responsibility for the mayor of Tirana, where the money provided from the budget, in fact, passes through the government.

Without seeing if there are other government ministers, because Arben Ahmetaj is not the only one. Without seeing what is the responsibility of the 24 companies that jumped in one day to award the concession, the investment spread over four years for the Elbasan incinerator, a region in which waste is burned year after year.

Therefore, Dritan Prençi is the main man for destroying the investigations and who could not find who the originator and the main responsible persons were for each municipality, the man who did not investigate the incinerators to the end, the man who did not discover and stop the theft at the Tirana landfill, the man who, with his slow investigations, with his incompetence, with his ignorance, intentionally or unintentionally, with his work with an organized disorganization, has caused the heads of the incinerators, the people of this scheme of thieves, to leave Albania.

It has created for them the comfort of not having major criminal liability, but it prolongs and prolongs the investigation without addressing a file worth hundreds of millions of euros, which is a shame for SPAK.

If there is a shame that even the media, which attacks SPAK, does not mention, today it is the incinerators' file, but they say that this file has been thoroughly investigated and they have found nothing.

In fact, this file is not super investigated. The documents are there and Dritan Prençi is either hiding them for other purposes, or pretending not to see them, or he is definitely an incompetent official at SPAK who should have left there an hour ago.

Even those who say that SPAK has failed, SPAK's main failure is the investigation into the Tirana incinerator that does not exist, the investigation into Fier as well.

We are calling Elbasan exhausted, after it has taken the heads of several ministers and several officials.

For Tirana, how can you sleep on such a voluminous file, with names, with facts, and pretend you don't know? Not to investigate a document with many seals and many signatures regarding the directors, with the officials of the Municipality of Tirana, who robbed businesses and citizens of 60 million euros to send to Mirel Mërtiri and Klodian Zoto in the landfill through the land affair.

A theft with a signature and seal where the entire Municipality of Tirana, from Erion Veliaj to the doorman, was put at the service of the incinerator company. The Tirana landfill company, with Mirel Mërtiri and Klodian Zoto, took the cars from the company of Blendi Gonxha's wife to give them to the Municipality of Tirana.

Precisely in 2021, during the campaign with dozens and dozens of means, tens of thousands of euros that were paid, for what?! To go after businesses where they dumped soil and took it to the landfill in the name, supposedly, of cleaning the city, but Mirel Mërtiri paid the money, Erion Veliaj used the means, Blendi Gonxhja received the rent money.

This is the truth about the Tirana landfill, the missing incinerator that Dritan Prençi does not investigate, does not clarify, and does not complete.

Perhaps with the hope that he can be the new director of the Incinerator Corporation, perhaps he is incompetent as a prosecutor, but he could excel as the director of incinerators that do not work, have not been completed and do not exist./ CNA
