According to data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, 36 fires have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. Of these, 31 fires have been extinguished, while five others are still active.

After an uninterrupted work of operational forces in the field, it became possible to completely isolate and extinguish the outbreaks in the municipalities: Tirana, Kamëz, Durrës, Kavajë, Krujë, Mat, Rogozhinë, Lushnje, Roskovec, Vlorë, Dimal, Skrapar, Himarë, Prrenjas, Vau-Dejës, Shkodër, Dibër and Malësi e Madhe.

Currently, work is being done on:

Lezha district: in Shengjin village, Fan administrative unit, Mirditë municipality. The fire continues to be active with high intensity in an area of ??pines and bushes. The terrain is very difficult and for the most part does not allow intervention with firefighting equipment. Operational forces are on the ground and are working to extinguish it; between Mal i Bardhë village and Skuraj, Milot administrative unit, Kurbin municipality. The fire is active with low intensity and mainly burns humus, without any risk of spreading. There is no risk to housing. The situation is under monitoring.

Kukës District: in Surroj village, Surroj administrative unit, Kukës municipality, work continued on isolating and extinguishing the fire that broke out in a forest area, on 20.08.2024. Forces of the administrative unit and the Forestry Service are working on the ground. There is no danger to homes, the situation is under monitoring: in the village of Barrë, the administrative unit of Arren, the municipality of Kukës, reactivation of the fire in the area with bushes. It does not pose a risk to housing. The situation is under monitoring.

Vlorë County: in the village of Sopot, Delvinë administrative unit, Delvinë municipality, there was a fire in a bushy area on top of the mountain, but without any possibility of intervention. It does not pose a risk to housing. Operational forces are monitoring the fire./ CNA
