Until the middle of September, doctors must choose to work in public or private hospitals. The act approved by the government to limit the double employment of doctors comes into force in two weeks.

According to the report prepared by the Ministry of Health immediately after the scandal that happened in the Oncology Hospital, it turns out that in our country there are 823 non-public health entities, which have medical personnel and those who work in public hospitals.

This, according to the ministry, has often caused patients not to receive proper treatment in public hospitals, as the financial benefit of doctors in non-public hospitals causes them to neglect the provision of health care in public hospitals.

According to the normative act, a doctor will not be allowed to work in private hospitals more than 30% of his monthly hours that he does in the state hospital, where he is employed full time.

This has irritated the doctors, but among other things, it has met the opposition of the Doctor's Order, which will set up disciplinary commissions to punish those doctors who do not respect what the normative act defines.

For the doctors who will choose to work in the non-public system, an electronic register will be created, where the entity where he works will be written, since it is not allowed for the patient who is offered services in the state hospital to also offer them in the private one.

Doctors who hold management positions in hospitals and universities are not allowed to work in private health clinics. For each violation, the sanctions range from a fine of up to 10 million ALL, as well as revocation of the license to practice the profession for up to 5 years./ CNA
