The President of the Chamber of Advocates, Joana Qeleshi, spoke this evening regarding the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja and the problems of the justice system. 

Qeleshi stated on the "Now" show that the crime committed by the 30-year-old has no justification, despite his opposition to the case for which he was in court. 

"There is nothing that justifies this action. Whatever outrage there may be about the issue, this action has no justification. Normal people should agree with this," she said. 

She further spoke about the citizens' revolt regarding the judicial processes, which according to her comes because no investigation or trial is too far from any standard that it should be. 

"The main problem that citizens have is that an investigation is not within any standard and this has only gotten worse. We currently have problems, we have investigations and trials that last beyond the deadlines. We have a system that is far from the capacities it should have from the point of view of human resources. And this deficiency is not only with the magistrates. Secondly, the problem comes with the infrastructure. Then there is also the problem of new magistrates who do not do their job responsibly. So the system has a big problem." , said, among other things, the president of the Chamber of Advocates./CNA
