Murder of Astri Kalasa/ European Association of Judges: We are ready to offer

The European Association of Judges has reacted to the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja, which occurred yesterday in one of the courtrooms at the Court of Appeal.

In a message sent to the Albanian Association of Judges, they expressed their condolences for the serious incident and their support and solidarity.

They further wrote in their message that they are ready to offer assistance to their Albanian colleagues regarding the incident.

The full message from the European Association of Judges: 

Dear colleagues,

It is with deep sadness that we learned from the news that an Albanian judge was killed while performing her duties on Monday.

On behalf of the EAJ Board, we would like to express our most sincere condolences and deep indignation for this tragic event, expressing our full support and solidarity.

At the same time, we would appreciate if you could inform us more about the circumstances of the incident, as well as whether EAJ can offer any form of assistance or support.
