Details from the visit/ New York Mayor Eric Adams arrives in Vlora

New York Mayor Eric Adams arrived in Vlora this Tuesday. 

American media reports that Mayor Adams will spend most of this week in Albania, with the aim of meeting with government and business leaders to promote economic activity and tourism.

His press office reports that Adams is making the four-day trip to Albania immediately after withdrawing his candidacy for mayoral re-election on September 28, with the aforementioned goal.

New York City Hall spokeswoman Kayla Mamelak Altus said the visit will last until Thursday, October 9.

It is also announced that the cost of Adams' trip will be split between the Albanian government and New York. The Albanian government will cover Adams' ground transportation and accommodation, while the American city will cover the rest of the bill, including airfare. /CNA
