Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi stated today that one of the reasons why the weapon was not noticed during the search at the Court of Appeals where Judge Astrit Kalaja was killed may be the malfunctioning of the detection device.

Invited to a television show, Dervishi emphasized that during the inspection, this detail may not have been given importance due to the tolerance shown by the maritime police.

The journalist said that currently the courts are protecting private police forces and not the state.

"The head of the private guards has been arrested. We have private guards in the courts. The issue has been raised as to why we have private police, not state police who are more authoritarian. There are two entrances, one for the judges and one for the people. Now, either the device did not work, but let it pass because the keys have a ringing sound like a pistol, so the guards did not pay attention to them.
