Journalist Xhevahir Zhabina has shared data on the dynamics of the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja.

Invited to a television show, Zhabina revealed that the weapon could have been easily passed because some citizens pass through the door without going through the detector, due to the large influx.

The journalist said that the pistol was empty when the perpetrator left the hall and then handed it over to the guard, before admitting to the serious crime.

"There was a court session where the Shkambi family was one party and the other party was 30 families living in the city of Shkodra, in a building claimed by the Shkambi family. The author Elvis Shkëmbi, who accompanied uncle Gjon Shkambi, was also present in this process. He passed the inspection and the process has begun. 

Since the Court of Appeals has a high influx, some citizens pass through the door without going through the detector. 

The trial has begun and lasted an hour and thirty minutes. The judge's decision was not in favor of the Shkambi family and the 30-year-old took out his pistol, shot the judge twice and then at two other people, the opposing party. According to the testimonies, the pistol was empty when he left the courtroom, ran out of bullets and handed it over to the guard. He then waited for the police, admitting that he was the perpetrator.

The judge was rushed to the hospital, but died. The other two people are out of danger. This was the dynamics with which the incident occurred.

The author stated to the police that he acted against an injustice.

It is about a property issue, in a three-story building in Shkodra, which served as a former reserve in this city and was claimed by the Shkambi family. In 1993, families in need were sheltered and there are about 30 or 31 families. They claim to have documentation. The Shkambi family also claims to have documentation that they were the owners.

A court case has been initiated between the parties in the first instance, where the Shkambi family won, but the family members appealed and claimed that the Shkambi family falsified the documents.

The judge claimed in the decision that the Shkambi family has no chance of obtaining this property. At this moment, the 30-year-old took out his gun and it seems that he was prepared for the decision, waited for the decision and went armed to this institution.

A police officer guarding the courthouse was also arrested today.

"It will be part of the investigation process. I do not believe that we are facing a case where the police took money, but the fact is that the 30-year-old entered armed, evaded police control and committed the murder. This will be an investigation that will determine many things, also because of the dynamics, the way it happened," said Zhabina. /CNA
