Murder of judge/Këlliçi: The most serious act of transition,

Democratic MP Belind Këlliçi reacted a few minutes ago regarding the murder of judge Astrit Këlliçi.

Through a post on social media, Këlliçi stated that the event constitutes the most tragic and destructive act of the transition.

Këlliçi adds that the serious act deserves extreme punishment.

 "Today's murder of the Appeals Judge, Mr. Astrit Kalaja, is undoubtedly one of the most serious acts of the transition, tragic and destructive for the spirit of law enforcement and social peace in the country."

As a member of the Parliament, the highest legislative body, as a committed politician but also as an ordinary citizen, I cannot help but express my concern about the aggravated climate, the hate speech against judges, the public lynching that has often come from the government led by the country's Prime Minister, to the detriment of magistrates.

The government, which, after the electoral "farce", has further aggravated the social conflict, especially in the unresolved issue of property and the dramas it produces.

Expressing my most sincere condolences to the family of the deceased judge, I call on all political actors, the media, and civil society to unite in defense of law enforcement officers at a critical moment for our state.
