He was degdis from Përmet to Elbasan/ Gjirokastra Court suspends former crime boss

The Gjrokastra Court has suspended from public office the former chief of crimes at the Përmet Police Station, Dhurim Çenko.

?enko is accused of "abuse of office" after failing to take action against two police officers in connection with the abuse of a 16-year-old minor.

Dhurim Çenko was suspended by the court because, although he was dismissed from duty, the State Police had transferred him to a management position in the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, an unprecedented decision.

Prosecutor Mariglen Meta requested Çenko's suspension and it was accepted by Judge Nertila Përallaj.

The family members of the former crime boss also threatened journalist Piro Nase after the publication of the response from the Gjirokastra Police that Çenko was suspended from duty./ CNA
