Vodafone and the Albanian Football Association, together, for the digital

Vodafone Albania and the Albanian Football Federation (AFF), a member of UEFA, brought together technology experts, innovation teams and senior executives in a very important initiative: a Digital Bootcamp, the first of its kind, with the aim of designing the future of football fans in Albania.

Developed as part of Vodafone Albania's quarterly Spirit Day, this initiative marks the first time that the company's digital team works directly with the Albanian Football Association (AFHA) to co-create practical technological solutions that address real, operational needs and fan engagement with football.

The Bootcamp focused on developing digital solutions that will strengthen the way the Federation connects with fans, improve services and grow the overall football ecosystem in Albania. The focus is on fan engagement platforms, data-driven analytics, digital services and modern communication tools, designed to bring supporters closer to the game than ever before.

"When two champions come together, the best results are achieved. I think that's exactly what we saw today. We are a proud sponsor of the national football team and the Albanian Football Federation, not only financially, but also through the expertise and digital technology that Vodafone offers. Today we saw an extraordinary range of ideas that serve to improve the fan experience and give them the opportunity to experience this fantastic sport, even better, in the future, through the opportunities that technology provides" - said Balázs Révész, CEO of Vodafone Albania.

The President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, emphasized the importance of digital transformation for
modern sports organizations.

"This was a very special activity, very beautiful and truly with a very positive result. The goal was how to use technology for the benefit of communication, for the benefit of getting closer to the fans, and to communicate as best as possible through technology. The ideas were truly fantastic; the chosen way of getting these ideas from experts, specialists and Vodafone employees was very beautiful and I believe that there was a product that will serve us. We will undoubtedly elaborate further and build the complete project of digitalization, communication of the Federation and football people, mainly with the fans, to inform them as best as possible and how to bring them as close as possible to football" - said Duka.

Four ideas were presented in this Bootcamp: the first for the resizing of the FSHF website and application; the second with the creation of a loyalty scheme for football fans, to benefit as much as possible from using the FSHF application; the third was for the unification of all FSHF management systems into a single system for managing fans, sponsors, players, etc.; and the fourth was the creation of an online digital assistant, to respond to fans in real time, called Alban. Among the four ideas presented, the winner was the project for the resizing of the FSHF website and application.

By combining the expertise of Albania's leading technology company with the vision of the country's leading football institution, the initiative demonstrates how two national champions can collaborate to advance the future of Albanian football.
