Durrës like Venice/ Streets and neighborhoods under water again

Heavy rainfall in recent hours has brought flooding back to the coastal city of Durres. Neighborhoods and streets are covered in water, with the situation most critical in the areas of: the "Niko Dovana" stadium, the "Taulantja" promenade, the beach area and the former Këneta.

Citizens and students have faced difficulties moving around, while loading and unloading activities at the port have stopped for small tonnage and fishing vessels.

Port authorities have warned captains of other ships to be careful. The ferries, however, have been operating normally and have arrived on schedule.

The flooding of the roads has also caused difficulties in the movement of vehicles. We remind you that this is the second time that this city has been affected by floods within a few weeks. /CNA
