At today's government meeting, the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, announced the approval of the Ministry of Education's proposal for the distribution of free and new textbooks for fourth and fifth grades.

Kumbaro said that 9,000 students will benefit from this, while their families will receive financial relief.

"With today's decision, we approved the funding from the state budget for the fourth and fifth grades of primary education, for new free textbooks. We had them free for the first, second and third grades, while with today's decision, we added about 43 million new lek, with today's decision and with funding from the Ministry of Education, free textbooks every year for the fourth and fifth grades, free of charge. We are talking about about 9 thousand students and when we talk about the financial side, also for their families who will benefit from the free textbooks, not having them as a burden on their budget and they will not even receive them used ," said Kumbaro.

Also, during her speech, the minister said that the same logic will be followed every three years, even for the sixth and ninth grades, since being older children, they can maintain the textbooks for a longer period. / CNA
