Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj has stated that the mayor Erion Veliaj is not going to SPAK of his own accord, but because he was called.

Invited to the show "Task Force" with the moderator Sonila Meço, Gjokutaj has recommended Veliaj to repent as he can take on other officials who have put their shoulders behind the prison.

"Why does he take the road 'with his feet', as he is saying, even though they take you there, no one goes there willingly. The issue is what Veliaj means in SPAK. I would recommend Veliaj to repent, as other officials who have put their shoulders to the prison today may have been killed, only because he is the Mayor", said Gjokutaj.

In the following, the lawyer said that Veliaj treats SPAK as a private structure, as if it has made investments to become financially healthy.

"He goes and calls those SPAK prosecutors colleagues, and even says that he will negotiate the time with SPAK when he will go. All this is the scenario of a rosy relationship between SPAK and the Municipality of Tirana. This is a relativization of the dark reality that the Municipality of Tirana has. He treats this call to SPAK as if he is going to drink coffee with some people he has met for some time", said Gjokutaj./ CNA
