The chairman of the RTSH Governing Council, Leka Bungo, has sold the general director of the RTSH, leaving him all the responsibilities for the mass dismissals of employees and the abuse of funds.

Bungo told the Media Commission that Alfred Peza does not ask him about anything and cannot ask him to account for the dismissals.

He even stated that Peza did not even send the appointments of his staff to the council, although he asked him several times to send them to him.

"If I say to the General Director "Why did you fire someone?", he can say "Where do you work? What job do you have?". I have it here, the General Director has the right to dismiss or appoint, we have no right. Now I am telling you just one fact and the director should forgive me for not being here, because of some problems in the Governing Council, I myself have boasted about it, but one issue that is very serious is that we have 8 months that the General Director does not bring to Management council for the appointments of its own staff. He appointed them and did not bring them", said the chairman of the RTSH Governing Council.

Bungo emphasized that Peza does not make the Council transparent, so it cannot control it.

"The General Director is the greatest authority after the Prime Minister of the country. There is a not very transparent relationship between the Executive and the Governing Council that has no authority and instruments to control it", underlined Leka Bungo./ CNA
