As we have done with other religious communities and during the great month of Ramadan, also during the Great Week of Easter, CNA TV will broadcast material about the saints of the day, religious activities and special services, which are performed in all the churches.

Each day of Holy Week has its own special theme. The theme of the Moon is that of the fig tree that had no fruit but only leaves and was condemned to wither. On Tuesday, the emphasis is on the vigilance of the learned virgins, who, unlike their foolish sisters, were ready when God came to them. On Wednesday, the focus is on the repentance of the sinful woman.

On these three days, the Gospel is sung during the Hours and at Vespers, when the Mass of the Presanctified Gifts is served. Songs from the Old Testament are from Exodus, Job and the Prophets.

On Thursday, the mass of St. Basil the Great will be held, as well as the reading of the 12 Gospels. On Friday are the Descent from the Cross, the Epiphany and the Epiphany meeting.

On Saturday is the mass of St. Basil the Great and in the evening the Resurrection Service will be held. As for Holy Sunday, the Service of Love will be held.

All these activities will be broadcast on CNA TV every day. Also, on Sunday, CNA TV will broadcast Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ".

Watch on CNA TV informative documentaries, church documentaries, material about the saints and celebrate with us the Great Week of Easter.

Father Grigor Pelushi in an interview for CNA TV has shown the great events that represent this Holy Week.

"From the moment of the Lord Christ when he enters Jerusalem, the moment of his last days on this Earth also begins.

His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, which caused the wrath of the religious class, also caused his death.

We have the events in a row. Our Holy Church, on Holy Monday, reminds us of Joseph of the Old Testament.

Also, Holy Tuesday is a very important day where the focus of this day is precisely a story that Christ tells about the 10 Virgins.

We have passed three days since the Great Entry of Christ into Jerusalem and Great Wednesday is coming . One of the twelve who stayed very close to the Lord Christ, stayed with him for three years, was with him, ate with him, stayed with him, saw all the miracles.

And what does this one do? He goes and sells Christ to the religious class, for 30 silver coins.

Then we have Maundy Thursday , which is the mystical supper that is one of the most important events of Christian life, of Christian worship.

We have the establishment of the Holy Mystery, where God takes his disciples to a room where he had determined where they would gather, and it is there that God establishes the Holy Mystery, the mystery of Divine Thanksgiving.

Good Friday is exactly the day of the crucifixion.

Holy Saturday is known as a day when Christ goes and preaches where the souls of those righteous people were.

On Saturday at midnight comes the news of the Resurrection of Christ.

Sunday is also the final day of the life and mission of God Christ", said Father Grigor Pelushi./ CNA
