The President of the Democratic League of Women, Albana Vokshi, delivered her speech at the meeting held by the Democratic Party with women and girls on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day.

Vokshi stated that not only March 8, but every day of the year should be dedicated to women and girls.

"All women, wherever they are, must refuse to have their day only be March 8th. Every day of the year should be dedicated to women and girls."

"We will continue to demand a higher representation of women and fantastic girls. We would like your support for a greater representation of women not only in the leadership of the DP but also in the upcoming elections. History has shown us that every time women have resisted and led, they have changed history itself ," she said.  

Among other things, Vokshi has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of having set up a system that diminishes the voice of women and girls and does not protect them.

"Edi Rama set up a system that tries to diminish the voice of women and make their power invisible. He has set up a system that does not protect women and girls, but violates them.

Over 50,000 women have fled Albania illegally to European Union countries. This is because Edi Rama is making hell for their families.

"Many women face the closure of the doors of the administration, with the inability to find employment. Edi Rama has placed the women of the Renaissance as a facade with colors and numbers. He has removed women with a voice and integrity," said the DP MP. /CNA
