March 7/ Shkodra District Council welcomes retired teachers

In the framework of Teacher's Day, March 7, the Shkodra District Council organized a special reception for some of the teachers who have retired, but who over the years have made a valuable contribution to the education and formation of generations. During this meeting, deep gratitude was expressed for their long-term work and dedication to education.

"You are the pillars of our society. You are the meaning of the word knowledge. I am pleased to be with you in this meeting because you are the example and motivation of our daily work. I wish all the teachers of Shkodra Region a Happy March 7th", said Edmond Ndou, the chairman of the Shkodra Region Council.

Amidst emotions and thanks, veteran teachers expressed a message for the entire new generation of teachers: love, patience, and dedication to the sacred profession of education.

"You have the nation, the fate of the nation in your hands. What education is like today will be the same tomorrow. Wherever we went, we transmitted knowledge, pleasure and love ," said Muhamet Shala, a former teacher.

"'We also get pleasure from the former students we meet, it is a great appreciation'; 'Contemporary methods should be spread and introduced in a broad form in all environments where there are schools'; 'I have tried to work with professionalism, with love for the students and I believe we have achieved something'; 'Holidays are the hour of conscience and a person turns their mind to their worries, to their memories, to their successes and that hour is a bonafide of the human spirit'; 'Thank you very much for this meeting. Before teaching physics, literature, mathematics, etc., we teachers have taught patriotism'" , the teachers express.

As a sign of thanks and gratitude, teachers were presented with bouquets of flowers, publications dedicated to education, and special views of the city, as a special reminder of their dedication and the important role they play in community life. /CNA
