The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, commemorated today the International Police Martyrs' Day, honoring all the officers who have fallen in the line of duty.

Through a post on social media, Balla emphasized that this day is a moment of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifice of police officers who have protected the lives of citizens, public order and the security of society.

"Today we honor with deep respect the memory of all police officers who have fallen in the line of duty, protecting the lives of citizens, public order and the security of society," said Balla.

He emphasized that March 7 has been declared by INTERPOL as International Police Martyrs' Day, in honor of officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty around the world.

According to Balla, in Albania, all State Police employees who have sacrificed their lives to protect the law and citizens are remembered with special respect.

"Their sacrifice remains an eternal testament of dedication, courage and service to the homeland. Glory and respect forever to the martyrs of the Police," Balla's message concludes. /CNA
