Sterilization/ Investigations are extended by 1.5 months

The Special Court has accepted SPAK's request to extend the investigation deadline for the "Sterilization" file by 1.5 months.

It is reported that the extension of the deadlines refers to the persons under investigation Klodian Rrjepaj, Ilir Rapaj Marsela Serjani and Saimir Kadiu.

The day before, it seized the assets of businessman Ilir Rrapaj.

After the report made by "Nisma Thurje" in December 2019, the Special Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against 8 people, as being involved in the criminal offenses of "forgery of documents", "fraud" and "abuse of duty". (read here)

After the investigations, the court ordered "prison arrest" for the former Deputy Minister of Health, Klodian Rjepaj and businessman Ilir Rrapaj. The latter is accused of fraud. 

Meanwhile, Rjepaj is accused of "fraud", "falsification of documents" and "abuse of duty".  (read here)
