Rainfall situation in Korça Region/ Devoll River overflows its banks,

In the Korça Region, rain and snow began falling during the night and early morning hours, with varying intensity depending on the area.

Municipality of Kolonja:

Intermittent snowfall has begun since 03:30. Traffic on the Ersekë–Leskovik and Ersekë-Korçë axes continues normally; snowplows are on the ground.

In a place called Gropat e Gëlqeres (about 5 km from Erseka, Ersekë–Leskovik axis) there is a partial landslide of the road; signage has been installed and there is a police service.

Municipality of Maliq:

The Devoll River has overflowed its bed at a point on the embankment in Sheqeras. In Dunavec the level is at maximum, but there is no overflow. On the Maliq-Lozhan (Senisht) axis there was a blockage during the night, it was cleared, but there is flooding and danger to the road. In Mesmal there is a landslide with a blockage of the road. In Lozhan i Ltë there is a rock fall. Landslide activation in Kakaç. Snowfall of about 2 cm has begun.

Korca Municipality:

The road to Denas remains problematic from the previous situation, but the water level has dropped significantly and does not pose a risk to homes.

Devoll Municipality:

The most severe situation in the Proger unit (the villages of Proger, Maqurisht, Cangonj, Shyec) due to increased flows.

Municipality of Pogradec:

Dardhas A.U.: road to village impassable; lack of electricity in all villages of the unit; landslide in Grunjaz.

Problems on the Rëmenj and Verdovë rivers, especially in the city ring road area where traffic is limited to one crossing.

Çërrava Village: The village river has a large swell, with no reported damage.

There are landslides and road blockages on the Qukës–Qafë Plloçë axis and in villages of the Proptisht Autonomous Community; measures are being taken to open them.

Rainfall is turning to sleet/snow in the area.

Road axes:

Snowfall has begun on the Korça-Ersekë and Ersekë-Leskovik axes; work is underway to clear and salt the roads.

In Maliq-Gramsh Border, rain with falling rocks and debris; cleanup is underway.

The Korça-Voskopojë axis has been cleaned and salted; traffic is normal.

Boboshtica-Dardhe: snowfall, vehicles at work for cleaning and salting.

Bilisht-Miras and Zemblak-Gorica: low intensity rainfall, no problems.
