Pedagogist Irena Nikaj, who participated in the Scientific Symposium on the figure of Llazar Fundo, emphasized that figures like Llazar Fundo, but also others, who were against the way the direction of the anti-fascist war and the future government was being built, were sentenced to death, even in cruel ways.

Nikaj said that all figures who have made the pluralism of thoughts, ideas and Albania after the war, must receive justice.

"I have chosen to participate in a conference dedicated to the figure, activity, but also the lack of justice for Llazar Zai Fundo, who lost his life in tragic circumstances and, as I believe, because of the attitudes, ideas and thoughts, which in the conditions of war and the justification of banditry within the framework of the war and the National Liberation Army, lost his life in collaboration with the partisan, anti-fascist Yugoslav liberation army. More than just a memorial, I would like to call for justice.

Figures like Llazar Fundo, but also others, who were against the way in which the direction of the anti-fascist war and the future power was being built, were sentenced to death, even in cruel ways. For example, it was the will of the leader, the political commissar of the National Liberation Army, that Llazar Fundo be tortured and then killed.

So, I think that our society, after 80 years of such crimes, urgently needs justice. Of course, these conferences serve to raise awareness, to raise public opinion about what happened during the war, and this justice would help ensure that the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War of the Albanians is not covered up or its value is not obscured by such crimes, which must be answered.
