The Mayor of Vau i Dejës, Kristian Shkreli, has reacted after reports of the seizure of his mobile phone by SPAK, as part of an investigation into electoral crimes.
In a public statement, Shkreli emphasized that he is open to cooperation with any state institution and determined to show transparency for every action he takes in office.
" I am ready to cooperate with any state agency to clarify any issue and to be transparent with citizens. I am on the ground and continue to be at the service of the residents who have trusted me with their votes, " said Shkreli.
The statement comes after reports that SPAK has seized his phone as part of investigations related to suspected electoral irregularities.
The checks were carried out a day ago in the areas of Malesia e Madhe and Vau i Dejës, while the investigations continue and further developments are expected. So far, there is no concrete accusation against the mayor./ CNA
