Dismissed for property problems/ KPA upholds the measure for the Gjirokastra

The Special Appeals Chamber today upheld the decision of the Criminal Procedure Code, taken three years ago, against the judge of the Gjirokastra Court, Blerta Marku (Çibuku).

The panel of the Special Appeals Chamber, composed of Natasha Mulaj as presiding judge, Sokol Çomo as rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Mimoza Tasi, and Rezarta Schuetz as members, announced the decision on the appeal filed on December 28, 2022.

"The adjudicatory panel of the Special Appeals Chamber, composed of Natasha Mulaj as presiding judge, Sokol Çomo as rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Mimoza Tasi, Rezarta Schuetz as members, announced the decision on case no. 53/2022, dated 28.12.2022, which concerns the appeal of the reassessment subject Blerta Marku (Çibuku) against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 565, dated 26.09.2022.

At the end of the trial in the deliberation room, the panel, based on Article 66, point 1, letter “a” of Law No. 84/2016, “On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, unanimously decided:

Leaving into force decision no. 565, dated 26.09.2022 of the Independent Qualification Commission, concerning the reassessment subject Blerta Marku (Çibuku).

"This decision is final and with immediate effect. It was announced today, on 15.05.2025, in Tirana," the announcement said. /CNA
