Tonight the second semi-final of Eurovision/ Predictions for the evening's

All eyes are on the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which takes place tonight in Basel, Switzerland. Moments ago, the renowned prediction system “The Model” released its final prediction for Thursday night’s results.

'The Model' predicts that Erika Vikman will win this semi-final for Finland with her song "Ich Komme". Finland is predicted to score 179 points in this semi-final, putting them 11 points ahead of their closest rivals, Israel. According to this prediction, they are joined by Austria, Australia and Malta in the top five.

The system has also predicted the six countries that are expected to miss the Grand Final. The headline is that the Czech Republic, a country that was predicted to finish in the top 10 of Eurovision by 'The Model' on Sunday, is now predicted to reach the semi-finals. They would join Latvia, Denmark, Serbia, Montenegro and Georgia if 'The Model' were absolutely correct.

Today's Semi-Final 2 prediction takes into account everything we know. It incorporates data from current betting odds, community song rankings and polls, and also incorporates findings from last night's Eurovision Audience Survey, co-organised by Eurovoix. As a result, 'The Model''s prediction attempts to be the most accurate of tonight's show.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is taking place in Basel, Switzerland, following the country's victory in the 2024 contest with the song "The Code" by Nemo. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the host broadcaster, the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR), the contest will be held at the St. Jakobshalle and will consist of two semi-finals on 13 and 15 May, and a final on 17 May 2025. The three live shows will be hosted by Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studer, with Michelle Hunziker joining in the final./CNA
