Food security in the country / Kikia: Rama's action is just for show

Analyst Mentor Kikia spoke today regarding the issue of food security in the country.

In an interview this Tuesday, Kikia said that this issue is of national importance and therefore needs to be discussed seriously.

Kikia accused Monday's action of being more for show, while it should be a daily task.

"Food safety issues are of national importance. These issues should not be acted upon lightly. For this reason, they should be discussed very seriously. Food safety should also be a priority for the state. What is currently happening regarding food safety is valid because it unites the interests of every citizen, regardless of status. Food safety is very multidimensional and carries a lot of responsibility. I think that food safety does not start with a campaign and does not start from the end point and I can say that it is not normal. The state cannot be established in one day, steps must be followed. It would be very good if products like watermelon also had a bar code. I support every rule established by institutions and the government regarding food safety since we are not even sure about the origin of the products. These campaigns, apart from a show, do nothing else. These campaigns should be a daily task. Citizens should also check the labels of the products they buy and consume. The consumer should be informed about what they eat," said Kiki a./CNA
