Pavement clearance begins in the Astir area of Tirana

Tuesday afternoon found the Astir neighborhood in Tirana different. These views from "Teodor Keko" street, near the Astir roundabout, show the sidewalks not as usual.

In this area, the clearing of sidewalks on the main road has begun today.

The sidewalks have long been occupied by various businesses.

The latter appear to have voluntarily vacated the occupied space.

CNA has learned that in recent days, several random inspections have been carried out by municipal police near businesses in the area, and business owners have been suggested to vacate the premises themselves, to avoid more escalating situations from the controls.

The action in the Astir area comes after a series of similar developments in other neighborhoods of the capital. /CNA
