The Special Court today found guilty and sentenced the former head of Durrës Anti-Drugs, Gazmir Preçi, to 2 years and 4 months in prison.
Preçi is accused of the criminal offense of passive corruption of persons exercising public functions.
Preçi was tried with a summary trial, receiving a 1/3 reduction in his sentence and was ultimately sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison. The former anti-drug chief was banned from holding public office for 5 years.
Preçi threatened to fine the owner of a nightclub near the Dajlan Bridge in Durrës, demanding 20 thousand euros. /CNA
