Pope Francis's funeral/Honorary mass at 'St. Paul's' Cathedral in Tirana

The passing of Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church in the Vatican, brought sadness and pain to all Catholic believers everywhere in the world. In Tirana, as in all Catholic dioceses, a mass is being held in honor of the Pope.

At St. Paul's Cathedral in the capital, hundreds of believers, as well as admirers of the Pope's Catholic leadership, gathered to remember Pope Francis. 

Today's Mass was led by Monsignor Arjan Dodaj.

Numerous prayers were offered at this mass.

It is learned that the US Chargé d'Affaires in Tirana, Nancy Varnhorn, and the OSCE Ambassador, Michel Tarran, were also present at the mass.

We recall that, for the passing of Pope Francis, the Albanian state has declared this Saturday a day of national mourning./CNA
