The director of Peqin prison resigns

The director of Peqin prison, Florenc Doka, resigns. Doka was appointed director of the high-security prison in Peqin on December 22, 2023.

The decision to resign was made public this Thursday.

The reasons for this decision are still unknown.

Florenc Doka, began his career in Public Administration as a lawyer in 2001, Legal Director, as well as Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Cërrik. His career continued in central institutions as a lawyer in the Regional Directorate of the Health Insurance Fund, etc.

In the years 2012-2014, he became part of the prison system and was appointed head of the legal and social affairs sector at the Elbasan Penitentiary. He later held the position of Secretary General at the Municipality of Cërrik. /CNA
