Citizens traveling north complain that the Thumanë-Kashar highway is not used by transport drivers.

A student who regularly uses the northern transport service told CNA that ticket prices were increased, claiming that travel will be made on the Thumanë-Kashar highway, for the convenience of road transport.

However, the student points out that the old route continues to be used and passengers pay for a service that is not being provided.

“ I am a student and I regularly use the northern Has/Kukës transport service. The Thumanë-Kashar highway was opened to facilitate road transport service and for this reason the ticket price has increased. However, drivers always continue to use the old road instead of the new highway. This situation is unfair to us as passengers and more precisely as students, as we pay more for a service that we are not receiving. Causing us the same delays at a higher cost. Please, take measures to ensure that drivers use the new highway, or review the ticket price to reflect the actual service that is being provided. Since we trust you.
