Hacking of SPAK emails/ GJKKO appeal leaves Zambak Gjoni and Arnold Rrokaj in

The appeal of the GJKKO has left in force the security measure "Arrest in prison" for Zambak Gjoni and Arnold Rrokaj.

Gjoni and Rrokaj are accused of "Unauthorized computer interference within the framework of a structured criminal group", in connection with the hacking of SPAK e-mails.

NOTICE

The Special Court of Appeal has upheld the prison sentence imposed by the First Instance Court for Zambak Gjoni, former prison director and former official at the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection and IT expert at Hipoteka Arnold Rrokaj. The young men are accused of “Unauthorized computer intervention within the framework of a structured criminal group”. Gjoni has denied the charge in court, claiming that SPAK does not prove the commission of a criminal offense. 

"The criminal offense of unauthorized computer interference is not proven, since SPAK itself does not say that Gjoni personally interfered with this data. As for the second offense for criminal group, can the investigating body tell us what was the purpose or benefit of Zambak Gjoni? From the data so far, the prosecution does not evidence what the benefit was," the defense is reported to have said. 

But despite these claims, Judge Dhimitër Lara decided to continue the measure of arrest in prison. SPAK says that among the prosecutors whose email addresses were attempted to be obtained was Altin Dumani, but they were unsuccessful, despite admitting that information was obtained from several email addresses of 3 special prosecutors. The event occurred on March 12 of this year and several prosecutors fell prey to the attacks, including Behar Dibra, Elida Kaçkini and Enkeleda Millonai./ CNA
