Archbishop Arjan Dodaj today expressed a message of condolence on the passing of Pope Francis. Through a video message, Archbishop Arjan Dodaj said that the Pope has been a pilgrim of hope in the hearts of the most marginalized and oppressed people.

Bishop Dodaj said that a mass will be held for the Pope today at 6:00 PM.

"This morning Pope Francis returned to his father's house. This news saddened each of us because it was the only voice that conveyed the power of divine consolation, and it touched us even more deeply. The Lord wanted me to call him to a jubilee year, a jubilee year of hope. The Pope has been a pilgrim of hope in the hearts of the most marginalized and oppressed people; today he is a pilgrim in his father's house. Moved by his hope and love, we want to join him in prayer.

We are grateful to God for this pope who was a pope who gave voice to those situations that had no voice. He loved our country, coming here to Mother Teresa Square and saying that the history of this nation had marked a lot. He has also told me many times that he wants to return to Albania.
