Easter celebrated in Korça/ Believers gather in unity and prayer

Thousands of Orthodox believers have gathered at the “Resurrection of Christ” Cathedral in Korça to celebrate Easter, one of the most important days of the religious calendar, with faith and devotion. This city, known for its deep spiritual traditions, has been transformed into a center of unity and prayer.

The Holy Mass was led by Father Ilia Kotnani, who at midnight announced the "Resurrection of Christ". The bells rang loudly, while the light of the candles spread from his hands to the believers, who received with emotion and hope the message "Christ is risen, truly risen".

The square in front of the Cathedral and the city's pedestrian area were filled with people not only from Korça, but also from visitors who had come to participate in this special ceremony. Everyone, with candles in their hands, took the light and took it to their homes, as a symbol of faith and wishes for peace, health and prosperity.

Like every year, Korça showed that it remains one of the most important points of Easter celebrations, where faith, tradition and unity take on special meaning in everyone's hearts. /CNA
