The President of the Supreme Court, Sokol Sadushi, complained about finances during a meeting with judges on Justice Day.

Sadushi said that the Supreme Court needs financial support and human and material resources.

"Although the Supreme Court has a significant improvement in the post-reform situation, thanks to the work and maximum commitment of the judges and administrative staff, as well as the Supreme Judicial Council that has completed the number of judges, it continues to have insufficient human and material resources and financial. In fact, this is the situation in all the courts of the Republic, which I would consider problematic, if not critical", he said.

Further, Sadushi stated that the files are increasing drastically.

"Judges are overburdened with a drastically increasing caseload. We need a corps of administrators capable of managing and directing so that judges can focus on their primary duty, judging. Courts cannot properly perform their mission, if the structure, governance, strategic vision, programs and actions undertaken do not create a well-deserved public perception that the judiciary is accountable", emphasized the head of the Supreme Court./ CNA
