KPA reinstates prosecutor Antoneta Sevdari

The Special Board of Appeal has reinstated former prosecutor Antoneta Sevdari.

We remind you that the Special Appeal Board dismissed Prosecutor Antoneta Sevdari, a member of the High Prosecution Council, from her position in February 2019.

Initially, the KPA accepted the appeal of the Public Commissioner, to reopen the investigations for Sevdar, claiming that the first instance decision was taken without an in-depth investigation into two criteria.

Commissioner Dariel Sina's objection was based on the prosecutor's inability to submit documents to prove the legality of the declared income.

Then former prosecutor Antoneta Sevdari won the process with the government in the Strasbourg Court.

According to Strasbourg, in the case of Sevdar there is a violation of Article 8 and that the dismissal was not proportionate.
