Rainfall in Korça Region/Landslides in 3 areas, here is the situation in

This Saturday, several problems caused by continuous rainfall were identified in the territory of the Korça District.

Here is how the situation looks by municipality:

Korca Municipality:

The situation in the affected administrative units: Bulgarec, Vithkuq, Drenova, Mollaj has calmed down; the water has been withdrawn, work continues for full normalization.

Municipality of Kolonja:

Precautionary measures have been taken to divert the river flow, in order to prevent damage to the Qinami bridge. The bridge in Novoselë has been repaired and traffic continues normally. The Kolonjë Waterworks and Sewerage Unit is discharging the water tank, cleaning and chlorination. Samples have been taken for analysis. The population has been informed not to consume the water until further notice.

Work continues on rural roads to neutralize the situation.

Municipality of Maliq:

There are 133 objects with the presence of water.

Damaged roads where rehabilitation work is underway: Mesmal–Velçan–Selcë Axis, Lozhan Village, Desmir–Moçan Axis, Dolan Village.

Landslide (3 areas):

Dolan – 2 apartments at risk, Mesmal – 1 apartment at risk, Senisht – 2 apartments at risk

Damage to the embankment of the Dunavec River has been repaired, with the support of the Armed Forces of the 1033 Military Unit in Drenova. Damage to the embankment of the Devoll River has also been repaired. The level of the Devoll River has decreased by about 70 cm, improving the flow situation.

Municipality of Pustec:

The situation appears calm.

Devoll Municipality:

The situation appears calmer. The waters have receded, and work continues to repair the damage.

Municipality of Pogradec:

The situation is moving towards normalization. The Tushemisht Hydropower Plant continues to operate normally.

Power supply situation:

Feeder no.6 nst Mollas without power Kurtesh area, 11 rural subscribers. Municipal feeder no.3 nst Maliq without power Qenckë cabin 11 subscribers. Feeder no.2 nst Ersekë, without power Zhakaranj area, 6 subscribers. Pogradec Hydropower Plant (Feeder 8–18, N/St Pogradec – Wood processing) in normal operation.

Traffic on the axes: Korçë–Ersekë, Zemblak–Goricë and Bilisht–Miras appears normal.

The exception is the connecting bridge between the villages of Qinam and Selenica, which has remained blocked since yesterday evening.

In the Ersekë–Leskovik–3 Urat segment, traffic is proceeding without problems. Likewise, the Maliq–Lozhan–Gramsh Border road is normally passable.

In the Korça/Boboshticë–Dardhe segments, the road has been closed, and measures were taken by the entity by installing portable information signs for road narrowing.

K/Lapidari i Podgorie and K/Podgorie–Liqenas, traffic continues normally.
