Full reaction:

During the rally organized this afternoon in front of the Prime Minister's Office building and then at the Parliament, some of the protesters committed serious acts of violence against State Police employees and state institutions.

Throughout the rally, the State Police called on violent protesters with a megaphone to distance themselves from violence, but attacks on police officers continued until the end of the rally with Molotov cocktails, pyrotechnics, and hard objects.

As a result of the attacks on the Police, 16 Police officers were injured and transported to the hospital for medical assistance, after suffering burns and physical injuries.

The State Police emphasizes that it has been engaged throughout the rally to guarantee public order and safety, as well as to ensure the exercise of the constitutional right to peaceful assembly.

Law enforcement structures are documenting all cases of violence, with the aim of identifying and bringing the perpetrators to criminal responsibility, in accordance with applicable legislation.

The State Police remains committed to fulfilling its mission to guarantee order, security and the rule of law, thanking the citizens who have cooperated and distanced themselves from violent acts, as well as journalists and media workers for the transparency they have provided to the public. /CNA
