About 1,000 policemen have been engaged since the beginning of July for security in the coastal areas. Italian police officers have also arrived in Durrës.

Elena and Anastasi patrol the coast of Durrës every day. Together with their colleagues from the police station, they cover an area from Dajlan Bridge to Golem.

In the scorching temperatures of July and August, the bicycle is their operational vehicle, to reach the tents of the vacationers.

Por, policët shqiptarë nuk janë të vetmit në zonën e plazhit. 2 efektivë kanë mbërritur nga Italia për t’i ardhur në ndihmë bashkë-kombasve të tyre, numri i të cilëve që mbërrijnë në Shqipëri për pushime, është rritur vit pas viti.

“Bëjmë patrullime sipas planizimit në zonën e Plazhit. Së fundmi na kanë ardhur në ndihmë edhe kolegët Italian me të cilët marim kontakt të vazhdueshëm dhe bëjmë edhe patrullime të përbashkëta. I vijmë në ndihmë turistëve për gjetjen e destinacioneve të ndryshme. Problem është humbja e fëmijëve ku në të gjitha rastet i kemi gjetur dhe ja kemi dorëzuar familjarëve. Por i vijmë në ndihmë turistëve edhe për problematika të tjera”, u shpreh Elena Lica, efektive në stacionin policor Plazh.

Në zonat turistike të vendit janë transferuar me shërbim përkohësisht edhe agjentë krimesh.
