Nationals of India, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo represented the largest share of workers from non-EU countries who immigrated to Germany for work in 2021.

At the end of 2021, Germany's Central Register of Foreigners registered 295,000 people with temporary residence permits for employment purposes, Schengen visa.info writes. 

At the end of 2021, Germany registered 33,900 workers from India, 26,300 workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and 19,600 workers from Kosovo.

In addition to these three countries, Serbia (17,400), China (16,700), the United States (16,500), Albania (913,800), North Macedonia (13,500), Turkey (10,700) and Russia (9,400) are also in the top ten the list.
