Berisha's non-grata declaration/ Genc Pollo: The disproportionate decision has denounced endless cases

After the announcement of the non-grata of the chief democrat Sali Berisha from Great Britain, the former MP Genc Pollo also reacted.

He states that he holds the same position as he has held earlier on the decision made by the US Department of State.

For Pollon, the decision is unconvincing and unsupported by concrete individual evidence, it is disproportionate, because in the last 10 years Berisha has denounced endless cases of corruption and wrongdoing in the ranks of power.

Gjithashtu, sipas tij shpallja non- grata e Berishës është “jo ndihmues për demokracinë e shtetin ligjor në respekt të rolit të opozitës demokratike”.

Pollo e ka krahasuar shpalljen non grata të Berishës me dënimin e Galileo Galileit në turrën e druve, pasi pohoi se toka rrotullohet rreth diellit.

Për përcaktimin ndalim-hyrje të Sali Berishës nga autoritetet britanike do të thosha të njëjtën gjë që kam thënë vjet për përcaktimin e tij nga Departamenti i Shtetit:

-jo bindës në rastin individual pa dhënë prova;
-jo proporcional duke konsideruar kontekstin aktual në vend;
-jo ndihmues për demokracinë e shtetin ligjor në respekt të rolit të opozitës demokratike;

Sipas shpjegimeve të bëra publike dje, rasti i v. 2008 si provë nuk është bindës për të qenë motiv për përcaktimin ndalim-hyrje. Po ashtu jo-proporcionaliteti mbetet i madh mbas dhjetë vitesh aktive në denoncimin e korrupsionit e keqbërjes në rradhët e pushtetit. Është formalisht disi më problematik për shtetin ligjor e demokracinë sepse ndryshe nga vjet shënjestron liderin zyrtar të opozitës politike (të pakapur nga pushteti); nga një pushtet të kthyer në regjim shtetkapjeje, korrupsioni të lartë dhe kriminaliteti të organizuar.

However, I notice two differences:
First, while presenting the restrictive measures for two to three dozen people, the British special envoy speaks in the language of the Democratic Party about vote-buying, the government's ties to crime, high corruption, etc. This is not a small thing and it would probably materialize if the names of these people were to become known.

Secondly, the British representatives in Tirana have had a generally serious and professional public behavior. Unlike anyone else, they have not allowed themselves to be instrumentalized by government officials to cover up government abuses; nor have they become ridiculous with adventures of intra-party influence.
